After Tooth Removal/ Extraction:
Dr. Tabori will ensure the site has stopped active bleeding before releasing you from our office. Continue to bite on the provided gauze for the next 45 minutes after being dismissed.
If bleeding reoccurs: (can happen after physical exertion)
Bite down on a gauze for another 45 minutes. Do not disturb the area as we want the blood clot to stay and allow for proper healing.
Swelling:
You may experience some swelling after an extraction. The use of ice in a towel or an ice pack on the area for the next 48 hours can alleviate this.
Pain:
Any severe pain that cannot be alleviated by either the prescribed pain medication or an over-the-counter pain medication, please call Dr. Tabori at 732-666-8650.
